A true change of scenery, nothing like a hotel
Here, time can slow down. Even stop. Walk in the forest. Breathe. Read outdoors. Take a bath to the sound of birdsong. Settle in by the fire. Sip a herbal tea grown a few steps from your door. Watch the light shift through the trees. Go to bed early. Sleep. Plan nothing. For a few days, simply let yourself live at the pace of the farm, the plants and nature. At La Fée des Bois, our lodgings were imagined as a natural extension of the farm. A living place, cultivated and inhabited, where people come looking for something that has become surprisingly rare: time, quiet, space and real contact with nature.
La Fée des Bois: lodging done differently...
For immersing yourself in nature without giving up comfort. A true country home at the heart of the farm: full kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, king bed, two bathrooms and enough room to settle in and want to stay. Ideal for couples, families, friends, or even on your own for a few days of retreat and quiet.
For sleeping as close to nature as it gets... in the comfort of a real bedroom. Unusual little wooden rooms, intimate and surprisingly quiet, with a real bed, electricity, a window onto the trees and a full bathroom a few steps away.
Travelling with your own little refuge?
For those who like to live even closer to nature, La Fée des Bois also welcomes campers and van travellers, depending on the season. Pitch your tent or park your van and enjoy the farm's surroundings: the medicinal plant gardens, the forest, the quiet, and the chance to simply spend a few days outdoors. A lovely option for vanlifers, campers, or anyone who would like to sleep on site during a workshop or an event at the farm. Available from April to November at $20 per night. Same rate on weekdays and weekends.
Living in tune with nature and the seasons
Daily life on a medicinal plant farm never stands still. In spring, the earth wakes up and the gardens come back to life. In summer, medicinal plants, flowers and their scents take over the farm. In fall, the harvest is in full swing, the forest changes colour and cool evenings call you back to the fire. In winter, the farm becomes a refuge, wrapped in forest and silence. During your stay at our agritourism farm, take the time to explore the gardens, discover the plants we grow, stop by our apothecary or join a workshop or activity when the schedule allows. Settle in outside with a book. Walk in the forest. Take the time to notice what grows around you. Or do absolutely nothing. Because here, doing nothing is part of the program too.
A gentle invitation to slow down
Some people come to La Fée des Bois for a romantic getaway or a family glamping stay. Others come to take part in a workshop, discover the farm or simply spend time in nature. And then there are those who feel the need to step away for a while. To come alone with a few books. To finally write the project that has been waiting for months. To draw. To create. To walk. To think. To find silence again. To spend a day with no schedule. La Fée des Bois can become that place, with no program to follow and no one to answer to: a writing or creative retreat, a pause to meditate, a moment to take stock, or simply time to rest. To sleep. There is nothing to accomplish here. You can simply give yourself permission to be here.
